Building on its 98-year history and our enduring impact, Dr. Rizzo-Fontanesi is dedicated to advancing AbilityFirst’s vision, mission, and legacy of fostering an inclusive community that considers the wellbeing of our participants, emphasizes their capabilities, and broadens opportunities for them.
Dr. Rizzo-Fontanesi comes with innovative perspectives, a breadth of knowledge, and robust management experience, having worked as a practitioner, a researcher, and an executive in the nonprofit sector. He has expertise in program design, planning, and evaluation, having analyzed the program effectiveness of numerous community-based organizations. Committed to exploring emerging best practices and applying outcomes measurements to enhance our premier programs, Dr. Rizzo-Fontanesi is poised to strengthen AbilityFirst’s services and programs.
With an understanding of the human experience, a person-centered approach, and ethical standards, Dr. Rizzo-Fontanesi has a profound commitment to serving diverse communities and focusing on the needs of individuals faced with barriers to service. He is excited to work closely with our staff, hearing from our participants and their families, and meeting our community of supporters in building trust to expand the possibilities for our participants to achieve their personal best.
