Meet Maria!
Maria has been with AbilityFirst for more than 15 years. She began with the supported employment maintenance group, cleaning the administrative offices and businesses offices. From there she transitioned into AbilityFirst Possibility Pasadena program, where she is fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming an artist! Some of her paintings were on display recently at the first-ever PossAbility Art Gala, where individuals in the program presented and sold different forms of artwork including painting, drawing and woodwork. Maria shares, “I love doing art and I love making money! It makes me feel happy to see others like my art, buy it, and own a piece they love… I’m ready to make more art, and in the future, I’d like to make more money!”
